I was extremely skeptical at first, but after treatment, I now know it was the best decision I could have ever made! I started March 31, after years of dealing with cripling pain in back, legs and feet, headaches and absolutely no energy, I could only walk with the aid of a walker, I am now pain free and back to being able to do normal activities, energy levels are high and no need for pain meds. The staff are super nice and know what they are doing! If you suffer from pain and are told there's nothing can be done or worse...told you need surgery, I HIGHLY recommend coming to this clinic first. It truly is life changing. Thanks to all of you at Durham Spinal Decompression Centre for giving me back my pain free, energy filled, active life!

I have been a client/ patient of Durham Spinal Decompression clinic for many years now. When I first went to them I could barely walk. I couldn’t even turn my head from side to side and my herniated discs were in my lower back! After many a few weeks of intensive therapy, I was walking without pain.
I had a re-injury that set me back but they were able to get me back on track quickly.
Now, I got every few months just for maintenance. Herniated discs don’t ever go away. I can’t imagine the pain I would be in if is wasn’t for them! Thanks for giving me back my life. I am a nurse a Yoga instructor and I hike in the woods daily. Without Durham Spinal Decompression clinic, I wouldn’t be able to do any of these things.

In 2019 I fell on my back which compressed my spine, the pain was so bad, I couldn’t even walk, stand or lay down, it was so bad, I went to the ER and they did a CT scan and they send me home with pain killers and the ER doctor told me I need spinal surgery. Next day I called Dr. Mary Ann Goldhawk at the Durham Spinal Decompression Centre in Whitby and show her my CT scan result and she start the decompression treatment right away. After 4 weeks I was able to walk with little pain and after 2 more weeks of treatment I was able to start working normally again, I am still coming back for maintenance decompression. Thank God for Dr. Mary Ann Goldhawk, she saved my life and give back my normal life with her decompression treatment! God Bless Her! Million Thanks!

I have been going to Spinal Decompression for at least 15 years. I was hesitant about starting at first but am so glad I did. I could not sit down and was so uncomfortable. Over the years I have improved so much and if I hadn't of gone I can;t imagine the shape I would be in today.. I have Severe DDD and I continue to do my once a month maintenance visits to keep on top of it all. I have seen people come in far worse shape than I was and it was a miracle to see them get better.
Sandy, Tracey, Dr. Goldhawk, Riza and Staff are excellent. They are so friendly, kind and thoughtful and I give it all a 10+ and would recommend Spinal Decompression to anyone with a Back Problem.

In 2015, a follow-up MRI of my spine revealed that I got a lumbar herniated disc had increased in size. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Mary Ann Goldhawk and her staff, they are very kind, compassionate, courteous, incredibly knowledgeable and very willing to try to work with me to come up with some sort of treatment schedule, they successfully corrected my three herniated discs in my lower back. Today I follow the maintenance program, I have a good life without pain. At the beginning of each session, I am comfortably fitted with a harness designed to achieve optimal decompression of the low back. The treatment process is safe and relaxing. What a great technology.... Thanks.....

When I was first diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis, I had disabling pain in my neck and head. My family doctor referred me to this clinic and my journey to good health began. Through the decompression sessions and physiotherapy I was able to feel better, become more active, and stop taking all the pain medications I had previously relied on. The staff are exceptional, caring individuals who always made me feel supported and cared for. I can’t thank them enough for helping me through every stage of my recovery. The Durham Spinal decompression has changed my life, With many years of living in pain and going to many different treatments like physio, Chiro, acupuncture helping me temporarily I never thought I could get back to my normal life without pain. Being 35years old having twin girls that are 7 and not being able to experience many things due to the spine issues and pain in my lower back, this place is beyond exceptional the staff are more like family they make the experience itself much easier. Such a supportive team they have with amazing doctors overlooking the treatments. I am ever so grateful to have found them and would completely recommend it to anyone that feels like there isn’t an option. This place is worth the shot and I’m so glad I did it ! I started going to Durham Spinal Decompression Centre in August 2014. When I started, I was bent over 90 degrees and in extreme pain. I was using a walker and a shower chair. After 3 months of decompression, I was upright and walking on my own. I am still going for maintenance every 2 weeks for my back and it has helped immensely. I have even started getting maintenance on a herniated disk in my neck that I have struggled with for many years. I consider myself their mascot. DSDC has been an absolute life saver! As someone who has suffered with severe nerve pain for years related to herniated discs, I am so happy I was recommended by a friend. Nearly 10 years ago I had surgery to remove a part of a herniated disc that was pushing on my nerves causing great pain. A few years ago the pain came back with a vengeance. I didn’t want to go through another risky surgery to only have the same thing happen again. This is when I found DSDC and am forever grateful that they are able to keep me pain free and living my life without physical limitations.

15 yrs ago I had lower lumbar decompression, I was walking with a cane and multiple pain killers each day, my 10 week program ending with 100% pain relief , no cane and stopped all pain killers...I moved forward with a normal life and could not be happier... Her I am back as I was in a car accident and had upper C-Spine injury, once MRI and Dr. was on board I started upper spine decompression, after 1 week my extreme pain and headache were dramatically reversed, thanks to Dr. Goldhawk, Dr Fern, Sandy, Tracey, Jon, Jenn, Dr. Alykhan and all the amazing staff at DSDC...:)

I could use all kinds of fancy words and write a long review, which would be genuine, but the bottom line is that in the end my circumstances changed and were somewhat unique and I found out just how much Dr. Goldhawk truly cares for the well being of her patients (in this case, me) and I owe her a debt of gratitude I can never repay. Dr. Goldhawk and her staff are simply amazing. I can't ever thank them enough for giving me my life back!!!! I was in rough shape about 8 years ago when I first started spinal decompression and after going through several weeks of treatment, my pain was gone and I was able to resume all my regular daily activities. I continue to have my monthly maintenance treatments and feel great. Everyone in the office is extremely knowledgeable, they make you feel comfortable and always have time to answer any questions you have.

Prior to starting my treatment program, I had spent over a year going to chiropractors, massage therapy, physiotherapy, even acupuncture with no luck. Spinal decompression was my last chance. Have been going to the clinic for a few months now to treat a SCIATICA issue. Sandy & Tracey are very friendly and get me in and out quickly. The clinic is very clean and very sanitary during these COVID times. Riza who does the physio is excellent as well. Highly recommend them and would have no issue referring them to friends and family.

My experience with the Durham Spinal Decompression Center has been exceptional! All of the staff are kind, friendly, gentle and understanding of my unique situation. I used to have daily chronic lower back pain.

This place is amazing! I was in excruciating pain when I first went to see these folks (4 herniated discs) and they are slowly but surely fixing all of my pain.
